In The Gate

Well the Mayor wasn't joking when he said the mansion needed some work. It's so overgrown I can't even get in the gate. Research is needed I think. Now, does this town have a library?

The trip to the library was most informative, I now have some idea on how to clear the grass from in front of the gate, and how to unlock the gate once it's clear.

I also found a notice about a club wanting new members. The Good Timers are an OK bunch, no relationship material, but willing to help me out with meals and company. They all seemed to know about the Mayor's obsession with Windenburg Manor and are willing to cheer me on in my endeavours. It's quite strange to be encouraged by others, I think I could get to like it here.

The encouragement of a group of friends is more powerful than I realised, with them around me, I managed to keep going into the early hours of the morning. The need for a shower took me to the gym, and I figured a bit of strength work would not go amiss, some of those dead trees look pretty large and difficult to remove.

I also met a cute looking guy at the gym, Paolo something. Must spend some more time with him.

Not wanting to return alone to my inaccessible mansion, I invited myself back to Paolo's house. They didn't have a guest room, so I just helped myself to a comfy looking bed.

The next day I continued my explorations of my new home town, looking at the Swimming pool and a few other places. The itch to swipe something is getting stronger though, maybe I should keep practising that skill, use it or lose it is a thing.

Oops, now look what I've done (snigger).

I really wanted to use the crafting table, but others always got there first. At least there are enough easels to go round. I sold most of my paintings, but I kept one that I really like. Maybe I can put it up on a wall when I can get into the Mansion? It's strange to think that people want to buy from a nobody, but I'm happy to make money.

********

I've decided I can't kip round other peoples houses all the time. I managed to sell enough paintings to afford a tent. I can just fit in on the edge of the mansion so my home is a bit more mine now. The statue I swiped looked good too, but like most thing I take, I gave it back. It wasn't very valuable anyway.

After much trial and error, I've worked out just how to get rid of the horrid grass in front of the gate. The ground of the mansion will be mine to explore, just as soon as I have enough money for the disposal van.

From inside the gate, the true scale of the renovation becomes clear. I'm going to need help if I'm going to get anywhere close to living in this place in my lifetime. Friends and family are my next priority. The librarian, Kyoshi, is a nice guy, but Paolo Rocco is cuter. Time for me to turn on the charm.

From Alice, Heir of Von Newcrest. Friend from the orphanage

Dear Rose, it's good to hear from you! It's unbelievable what's happening to us - Us heirs to gigantic mansion? I've been able to somewhat move around the first floor for the past couple of weeks - the mayor wasn't lying when he said there was a lot of TLC required to bring back the mansion's glory. Lucky for me, mine didn't had such big as a garden as the one you've depicted. I've spent the best of my time clearing a path to the door and clearing the east aisle of the first floor from debris. Apparently, selling our painting to collectors and gallery is the way to go, it…
