Moving up

We made it back from our Honeymoon in time to see the last day of the Sessions Music Festival. As is traditional at these events, I fell in the mud and there was nowhere to get cleaned up, but I still really enjoyed myself.

The Honeymoon and festival gave us new energy and we've made progress on the mansion, repaired some small holes in the floor, got rid of some chairs and small tables and cleared some more of the loose debris. Which was all funded by the sale of the treasure we found in the Selvadoradan Temple. We took the slighly lower sum offered by the local museum so we can still go and admire it whenever we like. At this rate, we may be able to get a couple of indoor rooms into a livable state so we can think about adopting a child.

Did I not mention that? Oops. I mean, we'd like to have kids together, but we are not ready and the house is most definitely not ready for a baby, but we can foster or adopt an older child or even a teen and give them a much better life than the one I had in the orphanage. We have started the process of getting approval, the Mayor of Windenburg has offered to be a character refernence too.

While we wait, we are going to get a pet, or 2 if I have my way. A couple of cats will liven up the place for sure.

We've adopted a stray called Flash, he's so cute. He still prefers to sleep in a cardboard box which we've put just inside the door of the house so he can stay warm & dry. I just hope he's careful in his explorations, I really don't want him to get lost or trapped in there.

Squeeeee! The adoption approval has come through. Still a little shocked given the state of the house, but we will start meeting children soon to see who is the best match.
